Because we believe that the arts have a unique power to engage children and motivate them toward excellence, AIM partners with public and private schools, to help make the arts an integral part of every child's education.

 

Our teaching artists go into public and private schools and teach all the students of a targeted grade, (3-5). Every child participates. Their homeroom teachers participate (actively, or not).

 

Each AIM program culminates with an End-of-Year Performance. For this show, we pick a theme lifted from their teacher's curriculum. For many, this is an exciting way to bring these facts to life. 

 

We use live accompanists for each class and performance. Every class is taught by a professional dancer/choreographer, and a musical accompanist/composer.

 

We're not asking them to do anything more than they're capable of, but they're discovering that they can do so much more than they ever thought they were capable of.

 

These programs are offered to the students totally free of charge. The school pays 25%. The rest is paid for by your generosity and commitment.
