With the mission of inspiring children through the arts, Art In Motion (AIM) uses dance and music to help all children develop high standards, discipline, and a belief in themselves that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.
All of our In-School classes are totally free of charge to the students. Our After School classes are offered on a sliding scale basis.
Our AIM programs are joyful, rigorous, and intellectually engaging.

September 20th
NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet
(formerly Moscow Ballet)
is back and will be performing in Yakima on November 20th!
The youth cast is at the heart of Nutcracker.
Local dancers dance the parts of Party Guests, Mice, Snowflakes, Snow Maidens & Variations!
There’s a role for everyone!
The 34th Anniversary Tour features dancing artists from Ukraine, Italy, Japan, France, and beyond. Your young dancer will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience rehearsing and performing right along side the company on the beautiful Capitol Theatre stage, all the while dancing and making friends with dancers from other studios.
Auditions are open to ALL dancers, from all studios, ages 6-18 in the greater Yakima Valley, who have had at least 1 year of ballet training and are enrolled or will be enrolled in a ballet class for the fall season.
September 21st, 3:00pm plus, (about 2 hours)
Dancers must also be available for their first rehearsal on September
22nd.

Beginning Character Class, Mondays 6:15-7:15
Integral to the classical ballet repertoire, Character Dance is the stylized representation of traditional folk dances from around the world.
Character dances featured in ballets such as Swan Lake and The Nutcracker include: Czardas, Mazurka, Tarantella, Slavic, Flamenco, and Greek.
